When my brother kicks off in town or somewhere, nearly everyone in the street is staring and its really sad because they just think he’s strange

I have a big brother. he’s got autism. sometimes when he’s at the skate park he starts to get a bit annoyed with his friends an then we get a phone call
from his friends and then my dad has to go and get him. when he is home
he starts to get cross and sometimes hurts me and I get a bit scared.

It can be difficult for siblings living with a brother or a sister who does not always behave well.
Here are some good tips about what to do if your sister or brother hurts you.
The main thing is to ask for help about this, from a parent or a teacher or another adult. Or you can ask a sibling advisor and we’ll get back to you.

This is the first time I have ever been on this forum, it is so unfair when my sister kicks off in the street

Its not fair. Everyone judges my brother when he is being grumpy and screaming. Just because you can’t see their disability it doesn’t mean they don’t have one. They just think its bad behavior.

When your in public and your sibling is for example shouting do people stare at them, well that’s what happens to my brother,I HATE IT when people stare at my brother,so here’s a few tips for when that happens:

    1.say I know she/he is amazing
    2.stare back at them
3.say what are you looking at
4.did you want to say hello?
5.and remember smile when you do these 4 things

i HATE it when my younger brother kicks off in public. Makes it impossible for the whole family to go out together and it’s so embarrassing.

    hi everyone

a couple of weeks ago we were staying at my grandparents house which is 4 hours away ! me and my sister were sharing a room and she wanted me to go out the room so she could watch youtube . I didn’t want to go out because I wanted to sleep a bit more . so she hit me she denied it at first but she cried later because she felt bad .

at my other grandparents house ( an hour away ) me and my sister went to stay . in the middle of the night ( 3 in the morning ) she woke me up by playing youtube loudly ! she refused to go out so my grandma ( after 20 minutes of her refusing ) managed to peruade her . in the morning she went in the bathroom 10 times slamming the door to try to wake me up ( it worked ) and then she started singing !

I just wanted to share this story .
